Here are the Fall 2017 practice times:

Mondays 6-8 PM on Court 6
Thursdays 7-9 PM on Court 6
Fridays 7-9 PM on Court 3

Please use our calendar to see if there are any practice cancellations due to school events or holidays.
When in doubt, please email Derek or Jonathan. We will be on the fourth floor of the CRC, and we hope to see you there!

Our new practice times for Spring 2017 semester are as follows:

The Co-ed (men's) team and women's team have both qualified for the NCTTA South Regional Championships! The tournament will be held at Texas Wesleyan University on February 21st and 22nd.

In addition, Yuhan, Anushri, and Stella have qualified for the women's singles tournament.

Thank you to all who participated in our beginning of the year tryouts tournament. Here is a quick summary of the tournament:

• 40 total players participated
• 118 total matches were played
• The tournament took approximately 10 hours of play spread over 5 days
• Resultant ratings of the participants

Check out the detailed results on our league page. The ratings earned during tryouts will be used to begin our weekly Thursday Night League. Players are placed in groups with other players of a similar rating. Each player that participates in a league session will have their rating adjusted based on their results from that session. The club ratings will be the primary means of selected players for the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.

Thank you to all who participated in the preliminary round of our tryouts tournament. We decided that the top 2 finishers from each group will advance to the final round (held on Thursday, September 4th). The final round will consist of a seeded round robin (4 groups of 4 players each), with the top 2 from each group moving onto a double elimination knockout stage.

The format of the tryouts will be as follows:

The tournament will be in 2 rounds. The preliminary round will be split across 3 roughly equal sessions
(Thursday Aug 28, Friday Aug 29, and Monday Sept 1).
Each player will participate in ONE of the 3 first round sessions. The first round will consist of round robin groups of 5 players each.

Approximately 50% of all participants will advance to the final round (which will be held on Thursday, September 4th).
The final round will likely consist of round robin groups of 4-5 players per group with the top 2 from each group advancing to a double elimination bracket.

Keep in mind that although one purpose of tryouts is to identify candidates for the varsity teams, it will also serve to give each member an initial rating. This rating will then be used for our Thursday Night League to help guarantee close matches with good competition for every player.
