Georgia Tech Table Tennis Association (GTTTA)

On Friday November 30th we will not have practice, but instead will have bubble tea and pizza in the Tech Rec at 6. This is a good chance to get to know people and relax. Our Vice-President Brian Seifried will be making the bubble tea. It's delicious.

Don't forget your paddles! There are tables in the Tech Rec! This will be a good time to have some friendly matches with a fun crowd!

Due to the start of Phase II Intramural Sports, starting October 21st our practice hours will be changed to:
Mondays: 6 - 8:00
Thursdays: 7- 9:00 (unchanged)
Fridays: 6 - 9:00

Congratulations to both our men's and women's teams, winners of the first Georgia District Tournament! Both teams went undefeated and we, of course, beat U[sic]GA.

Congratulations to Verdant Ajmera, Jash Mehta, Martin Mueller, and Nitish Natu for making the Men's Varsity Team!

Thank you everyone who showed up to the tryouts these past couple weeks. This year we had a deep field for the competition with many close matches. Because of this year's depth of talent, we have decided to implement a rankings ladder and challenge system to allow everyone the opportunity to make the varsity team.

Our first tournament is October 14th at 10am at the Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy. More detailed information regarding the tournament will be sent out closer to the event. The places on the varsity teams will be decided by the top 4 available ranked men and women from the challenge ladder on the date of the competition. So I recommend everyone to come to practice and start challenging and climbing the ladder!

Everyone in the club is encouraged to come out and represent Georgia Tech through our JV teams. Please let me know in person or by email if you want to participate in the October tournament.
